Hopfly Brewing company was born in the fall of 2017 in Rocky Mount, NC.

We began as a small brewspace and tasting room squeezed into one cozy little 750 sq. ft. space at the Rocky Mount Mills.

Our operations have expanded rapidly every year since opening. We started by doubling our brewing potential from 80-BBL of fermentation capacity to 164-BBL, conducting that all through our 10-BBL main brewhouse and 1-BBL pilot brewhouse. We added team members to better drive the business forward, aiding on every level of the company, from sanitation and production, packaging and delivery to slinging beer from our tasting room.

Today, we are one of the largest self-distributing breweries in the state of North Carolina and our product can be found statewide. We partner with Bear Island Distributingto distribute our suds statewide to South Carolina, so all of the Carolinas can experience Great beer. Always.

In 2020, just a few days before COVID hit, we expanded into a 1700 sq. ft. taproom in a building directly adjacent to the brewery. This taproom is the bedrock of our success in Eastern North Carolina, and we are proud of what we have been able to accomplish and seek to continue in Rocky Mount. In March 2022, to continue our growth, we relocated our primary brewing operations to Charlotte, NC, demonstrably expanding our taproom space and increasing our brewing potential exponentially. With increase in space came expansion of the staff, and we are proud to employ a diverse team of driven individuals, delivering you quality day in and day out.
